What is the minimum amount required to open a checking account?
There’s no minimum balance requirement to open your checking account or to keep it open. However, if your account remains inactive for 3 months (meaning there are no transactions that you initiate) and, during that time, your account also falls to a zero balance and remains there, Happen Bank reserves the right to either keep the account open or close the account without further notice. See the LevelUp Checking Terms & Conditions for additional details.

Calculators are provided for illustrative purposes only. The results of the savings calculator are determined based on your input values. The results vary based on any changes to the input values. The savings calculator results are, in part, determined by the Annual Percentage Yield (APY) input. The APY is consistent with the current rate offered by Happen Bank. Rates are variable and subject to change at any time. Fees may reduce earnings on account. With the minimum deposit you will earn the LevelUp rate, otherwise you will earn the standard rate.
